There you will take pleasure in seeing the colorful weaving demonstration using natural dyes. Afterwards, we continue driving on a flat road through the lush Sacred Valley formed by the Urubamba River surrounded by spectacular mountains. We will drive on a dirt road up to Moray located in a high plateau at about 3500mt. /11,500 ft.). These are stunning agricultural circles which are in a large bowl depression with many terraces resembling an ancient Greek amphitheater and believed (in theory) to have been used by the Incas as an agricultural experiment center. Enjoy the energy from the center of the circle and then climb up the small steps on the sides of the terraces. Catch your breath before boarding our transport to drive down to the old colonial town of Maras (3,380mt /11,090ft.). We will walk along the salt pans which are built on steep terraces along one side of a narrow valley which is nourished by the salt spring waters that surface from a subterranean stream deep in the mountain. There are about 3000 wells which are left to evaporate and are gathered by hand without any machinery. After a glorious time we will hike down to Urubamba where our transport will be waiting to take us into the town of Urubamba to eat lunch before returning to Cusco.
You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel and drive for about 1.5 hours through the Sacred Valley to Cusipata. Along the way, take in gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains until reaching the shores of the Upper Urubamba River, to the Cusipata River Camp, our private campground. Our professional rafting guides will give you a safety talk and provide you with all the proper equipment such as helmet, wet suit, spray jacket, paddle and self-bailing raft. After, we will start the adrenaline rush by zip lining down 300 meters over the river feeling your heart pumping fast. Once you reach the other side of the river you can catch your breath so we can continue the thrill. Then we will start the adventure, rafting for about 2 hours in fast rapids riding the currents as the water splashes on us. After an exhilarating time we will return to our campsite to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and use the facilities. Thereafter, we will depart for Cusco, arriving around 4;00pm and transfer to your hotel.

We will cross the Huaypo Lake en route to the Moray agricultural terraces located on a high plateau (3500mt/11,500ft) dating back to the time of the Incas. It is believed that the Incas used these these circles to study the effects of different climatic conditions on crops. Thus, Moray was perhaps an Inca agricultural experiment station. We will visit the huge circles especially the center one which is still intact. You can lie down in the center and feel the energy through your body. From here we will bike down a windy dirt road going up and down to the Maras Inca salt mines (3380mt /11,090ft.) where the salty waters come from the side of a mountain and evaporates and fills into different pans. For lovers of horseback riding, a mounted excursion through the ruins surrounding Cusco is the perfect way to appreciate the majesty of the Inca sites. The marvelous ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay can be explored on horseback.
We just drive 15 minutes from cusco to get qenqo where our ranch is. where we start riding passing many incan archaelogical sites like templo of the moon the zone x and some more sites such as:
Saysayhuaman: is a Quechua-word and means 'satisfied falcon'. Experience the impressive Incan architecture of the ancient fortress and temple at the archeological park of Sacsayhuaman. This is the greatest and most wondrous Work that the Incas built as a demonstration of their majesty and power. Its grandeur is impossible to imagine for those who have never seen it“.
Qenqo: Is a very special place in the Andean world, this temple was used by ancient Peruvians to communicate with other deities. This is certainly a place of intense energy. This complex is comprised of two sectors which have been called by the name of Qenqo Grande and Chico, both distinguished by the care taken in the carving of the stones which rose this construction, which seems to suggest the great importance of this sanctuary during the Inca empire.
Puca Pucara: "The red fortress”. This site was assumedly one of the many tambos that he Incas had along their roads as rest stops, watch-over points and control stations. Tambos were also used as weapons storage and military support for strategic purposes. There the soldiers of the mighty Empire were taken care of during their campaigns. Along the way from Cusco to the Sacred Valley, from this semicircular construction, where walls, stairs, rooms and niches are to be admired, all the surrounding areas were perfectly controlled.
Tambomachay: The archaeological site of Tambomachay is located about 8 km north of the city of Cuzco, in the southern Peruvian highlands and 400 meters down the road from Puca Pucara is the site of Tambomachay, a water sanctuary with fresh water springs. At he foot of a mountain, the remains of this Inca, is extended over four terraces, where water was worshipped. On an Inca wall that has trapezoid-shaped niches and doors crystal clear water from a subterranean stream runs through a canal in a basin. For the Incas water was a sacred element of life and a symbol of purity of soul. All the Inca rites were preceded by a cleaning ceremony.
