    Day 1: Cusco-Piscacucho (Km. 82)-Huayllabamba

    An early morning departure from Cusco (3,360m/11,00ft) to Piscacucho (2,663m/8,735ft.) by bus. Here, we meet with our porters and show our Inca trail permits at the checkpoint. Walk alongside the river with views of snow-capped peaks before passing over the ruins of Llaqtapata. Continue hiking to our first campsite at Huayllabamba (2,928m/9,606ft).

    Day 2: Huayllabamba-Warmihuañusca Pass-Pacaymayo

    Today will be the most strenuous part of the Inca trail to Machu Pichhu. You will climb up to Llulluchapampa where the hike becomes truly spectacular with scenery that more than compensates for the effort. Vegetation thins and the day warms on the approach to the highest point of the trail - Warmiwañusqa Pass (4,236m/13,894ft). Thereafter, we descend down to the Pacaymayo Valley (3,526m/11,566ft) our next campsite.

    Day 3: Pacamayo-Runkuracay pass-Wiñaywayna

    After breakfast we will climb an Inca trail stairway to Runkurakay ruins from where the final push begins to the Runkurakay pass (3,962m/12,996ft).  Thereafter, climb down to the impressive ruins of Sayacmarca (3,657m/11,998ft) for a visit and continue on to the Phuyupatamarca Ruins (3521m/ 11,552ft). The inca trail becomes increasingly more dramatic as it leads down to the next campsite of Wiñaywayna ruins. Tonight we say goodbye to our Inca trail porters because we will depart our campsite early the next morning.

    Day 4: Wiñaywayna-Inti Punku-Machupicchu-Cusco

    This early morning we will walk to Intipunku (Sungate) for our first amazing views of Machu Picchu (2,400m/7,870ft).  Then walk down to the Sanctuary for a professional guided walking tour of Machu Picchu. Visit the many sacred temples and more. Afterwards, take the bus down to Machu Picchu town to eat lunch (on your own) before taking the train to Poroy and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
    Meal: B Optional extra cost: Huayna Picchu climb for lovely views of Machu Picchu and the valley below (Today or next day).

    Extra day in Machu Picchu:  If you would like to spend an extra day in Machu Picchu, please advise us so we can change the date on your return train ticket to Cusco. Please be aware that you will have to pay for a second day entrance ticket to the Machu Picchu ruins and/or climb up to Huayna Picchu. We can book your hotel in Machu Picchu, provide a guide, and purchase your entrance tickets all at an additional cost.

    Day 1: Cusco - km104 or Chachabamba - Machu Picchu village

    Early train from Cusco or Sacred Valley to the trailhead at km 104 at Chachabamba (2,100m/6,888ft) to start the hike. This moderate walk takes us to Wiñaywayna (2,740m/8,990ft) for a visit of the Incan ruins. Then continue to Sungate (IntiPunku) to catch the first spectacular views of Machu Picchu. After a few pictures we will walk down to take the bus to Machu Picchu village for an overnight in a comfortable hostel.

    Day 2: Machu Picchu ruins – Cusco

    Early morning rise to go to Machu Picchu by bus to enjoy a professional guided walking tour of the magical archaeological marvel of the world.  Visit the sacred temples and more. Afterwards, take the bus down to Machu Picchu town to eat lunch (on your own) before taking the train to the Poroy train station. Private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

    Day 1: Cusco ‐ Mollepata ‐ Soraypampa ‐Salkantaypampa

    We travel northwest of Cusco, by transport to Mollepata (2,850mt/9,348ft), continuing to Soraypampa along the Rio Blanco Valley, there we will meet a horsemen to start our hike, where you will catch vistas of the lovely Vilcabamba range. Then ascend gradually to Soraypampa (3,800mt/ 12,464ft) and continue walking up to Humantay lagoon to take in spectacular views of the mountains.  Thereafter, we walk down to our campsite at Salkantaypampa (4,100mt/13,451ft).

    Day 2:  Salkantaypampa – Inca Chiriasca Pass – Sisaypampa

    After breakfast we will climb the highest pass of this fabulous exciting trek to reach the Incachiriasca pass (5,200mt - 17.060ft). Catch views of the surrounding mountains of Humantay, Salcantay, Tucarhuay, etc. Descend to our next campsite of Sisaypampa (3,750mt - 12,303ft) where you will see more flora and fauna.

    Day 3: Sisaypampa - Huayllabamba

    This morning our trek leads us to the Sacred Valley of the Incas passing the Inca canals to reach Huayllabamba (3,000mt/9,842ft) that connects us to the Inca trail. Here, we will meet our porters to start the Inca trail the next day. In route we will visit the Pampacahua and Paucarcancha ruins.

    Day 4: Huayllabamba - Warmihuañusca Pass- Pacaymayo

    After breakfast we trek the up to Llulluchapampa where the hike becomes truly spectacular with scenery that more than compensates for the effort. Vegetation thins and the day warms on the approach to the highest point of the trail - Warmiwañusqa Pass (4,236mt/13,894ft). We camp at the Pacaymayo Valley (3,526mt /11,566ft).

    Morning arrival to the grand Machu Picchu entering through Intipunku (Sun Gate). Enjoy a professional guided walking tour of the stupendous ruins visiting the sacred temples and more.  Later return by bus to Machu Picchu town for lunch (on your own) before boarding the train to Poroy. You will be met at the train station by our staff and private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
