Overview
This magnificent tour combines the pre-Incan Moche and Incan cultures. Peru’s northern coast is a place of natural beauty and magnificent architectural sites with picturesque fishing villages. We will journey through Trujillo, for an amazing visit of the pre-Inca cultures: the Mochica and Chimu visiting the Huaca del Sol & Luna and Chan Chan. Relax at the Huanchaco beach while eating a delicous Ceviche lunch. We continue the excitement travelling to Chiclayo visiting El Brujo pyramids and meeting the Lady of Cao. Then visit the Huaca Rajada, Tucume and the Museum Tumba Reales to admire the exquisite treasures of Sipan. We continue our journey to the fabulous Inca City of Cusco to relish in the colonial and Incan architecture and culture. Journey through the lush Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting the amazing sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Finally ride by train to the spectacular Machu Picchu once lost in time. There is no comparing the different civilizations we will encounter on our journey through time, as they are unique in their own way.
Day 1 Arrive in Lima
Arrive in the Lima airport and our staff will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

Day 2 Lima Trujillo – Temple of the Moon
Morning flight to Trujillo. Arrive and our staff will transfer you to your hotel to relax and enjoy lunch before starting our tour. In the afternoon will visit the Pyramid of the Temple of the Moon dating back to the Moche period. Admire the beautiful ancient colorful mural paintings at the Temple of the Moon. It is beleived to have been a ceremonial and religious center with many religous designs and altars that were used for human sacrifices. After a wonderful time we will return to your hotel.

Day 3 Huaca del Dragon – Chan Chan – Huanchaco – El Brujo – Museum of Cao – Chiclayo
This morning, our first visit will be of the Huaca del Dragon known as the Huaca del Arco Iris which is near Chan Chan. It is a small site with interesting rainbow motifs. We continue to the world heritage site of Chan Chan, the capital of the Chimu Civilization, that is one of the largest pre-Columbian adobe cities in South America. They had engineering methods that were unknown in Europe and North America. This civilization is known for their pottery and metal working skills. Stroll through the city which was adorned by dramatic reliefs, sculptures, and wall carvings. Afterwards, we will go to Huanchaco, a fishing village and beach town known for its caballitos de totora (little reed horses). We will enjoy delicious typical dishes like Ceviche or other. After lunch, we will journey to the sacred pyramid temples of El Brujo located on an arid beach area. This complex is said to have been built by the Moche civilization. Admire its murals of the warriors with prisoners, ceremonial designs, human sacrifice and others. Then we will visit the amazing discovery of the mummy, Lady of Cao, thought to have been a leader of the Moche. After going back in time we will continue to Chiclayo.

Day 4 Huaca Rajada – Museum of Sican – Tucume
We begin our morning with a visit of the Huaca Rajada, where the tomb of the Lord of Sipan was found back in 1987. It is known as the richest tomb of the new world which contained gold, silver and other valuable aritfacts. The tour includes the visit of the on site museum. We will tour the pyramids with its tombs and chambers specified according to hierarchy and importance. En route to Tucume we will visit the Sican museum where we will see replicas of the Sican tombs and more. We will visit Tucume, known as the Valley of the Pyramids, which is considered as an important political and religious center. Return to your hotel.

Day 5 Museum Tumbas Reales (Lord of Sipan) – Chiclayo – Lima – Cusco
In the morning we will visit the Tumbas Reales Museum, one of the best in Peru, which houses the amazing treasures of the Lord of Sipan. Be mesmerized by the intricate displayed silver and copper pieces, bead ornaments, masks, and more. After our visit we continue to the airport for our flight to Lima and connect to your flight to Cusco. Arrive in Cusco where our staff will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Enjoy a free day at leisure.

Day 6 Sacred Valley Tour – Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town)
This morning we will travel from Cusco to the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first visit will be of the Pisac ruins (2972m/9751ft) admiring the numerous agricultural terraces and the ruins. Then drive down to the town of Pisac and shop in the artisan market with many stalls selling many colorful handicrafts. Thereafter, we drive to Urubamba to have a delicious buffet lunch. After lunch, we continue to one of the original Inca towns of Ollantaytambo (2792m/9160ft) built by the Inca Pachacutec. Visit the archeological site which has many structures such as the Temple of the Sun and more. Then we will board our train to Aguas Calientes to spend the night.

Day 7 Machu Picchu -Cusco
This morning after a very early breakfast, take the bus up to the magical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Enjoy a professional guided walking tour of the stupendous Machu Picchu (2400m/7874ft), visiting the extraordinary Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Three Windows features huge trapezoidal windows and much more. Take pleasure in exploring other hikes like Huayna Picchu, Machupicchu Mountain Peak, Sungate or walk over to the Inca Bridge. After a fabulous visit return to town to eat lunch before boarding the train to Poroy. Arrive and our staff will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 8 Cusco City Tour
Morning or afternoon city tour. The city center and surrounding neighborhoods are an amazing mixture of architectural synthesis: Spanish Colonial edifices, with their elaborately carved cedar balconies, built upon mind-boggling Inca stone foundations. A short stroll through the narrow cobble-stoned streets and pathways is a trip back through time. In the afernoon we will visit the impressive Qoricancha (“court of gold”, also known as the temple of the sun) and the nearby ruins of, Sacsayhuaman, the sacred temple but called a fortress by the Spaniards, Qenqo known for rituals, Puca Pucara (“red fort”) and Tambomachay, the Inca baths. Return to Cusco.

**If you have chosen a private city tour then visit the San Pedro local market, Qoricancha and Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman and Qenko ruins. At your pace not rushed and time for pictures.
Day 9 Cusco – Lima – Lima City Tour
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Our staff will take you to your hotel in Miraflores. In the afternoon we will meet you to start the tour of the City of Kings. We will visit a combination of pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Contemporary. Our visit will take us through pre-Inca ruins, colonial and Inca architecture, residential neighborhoods, charming churches, and more. Return to your hotel.
